We made a welcome return to Oulton Park and whilst the forecast was for good weather, qualifying took place in the rain on a far from dry track.
Tim managed to qualify fastest of the 4 Class C drivers, half a second in front of Clive Glass.
The weather improved and the grid of 23 Morgans lined up for a standing start on a dry track. On the opening lap, Clive squeezed past on the run down to Cascades, but 2 laps later, Tim overtook him and went on to his 8th Class win of the season from 8 starts, plus a fastest lap as a bonus.
This gives Tim an unassailable Class lead for the Championship. With only 5 points separating the top 4 scorers – Keith Ahlers, Henry Williams, Tom Andrews and Tim – the final 2 rounds at Donington and Snetterton promise to be very interesting!
